Where did her babies go?

She thought to herself as she 

watched her teenage boy and girl

Not too long ago, her kids were little babies

Who wanted kisses and hugs from her 

She feel like it was just yesterday they were

running around the house

Playing with each other, messing with things

they shouldn’t be messing with

Just yesterday her little boy and girl were telling

her they have a boo boo when they hurt themselves

Where did her babies go?

She misses all those times they used to tell her they loved her

They tell her now but less often

She misses when they were her little babies 

She’s very proud of the young adults they’ve become

And she hope they will transition well into adulthood

But, she still misses when her babies were little babies
